My thoughts about starting this company began 6 years ago when my father had an emergency quadruple bypass surgery. He was in the hospital for a couple weeks and my sisters and I would take turns staying with him. It was stressful, worrying about my dad, going to work, taking care of my kids, and taking care of my mother who has dementia. Not only did one of us have to be with our mom 24 hours a day, one of us also had to be with dad in the hospital. Thankfully my sister Janet, another nurse in the family, didn’t work at the time and was able to take on the major caretaker role for our parents. Over the past few years, I continued to see friends and family going through these same issues with their loved ones. The need for this company has always continued to be on my mind. I want to help others the way we have been able to help my parents. Making phone calls, talking to doctors, scheduling follow up appointments, and managing care between so many moving parts. It is difficult for us as nurses, I can't imagine how difficult it is for someone who has no medical background. I resigned from my full-time job to pour all my energy into getting this company off the ground. Helping others is the reason I became a nurse so many years ago and I want to continue to help as many people as I can.
